3M Primer 94 is a trusted branded adhesion promoter for use in conjunction with very high bond tapes that supports adhesion to critical substrates such as PE, PP, ABS, PET/PBT blends, concrete, wood, glass, metal and painted metal surfaces.

When using, please remember that bonding surfaces must be almost clean and dry before the tape primer is used. Contaminated surfaces should be cleaned with a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water mixture, and a clean lint free cloth should be used for wiping the surface.

Using a primer or adhesion promoter such as 3M Primer 94 before applying strong VHB (Very High Bond) tapes is essential to enhance adhesion and ensure a reliable and long-lasting bond. These surfaces may include plastics, metals, or painted materials. A primer prepares the surface by cleaning and activating it, promoting better contact between the tape and the substrate. It helps remove contaminants, ensuring the tape adheres to the material effectively.
